The BottleneckAmerica doesn't have a lithium shortage. It has a water problem.
Beneath our own soil — in brine and produced water — sits an enormous domestic lithium resource. The barrier was never geology. The stream is simply too dilute to concentrate economically with conventional methods, so it gets pumped back underground as waste while we keep importing.
That single cost — turning dilute brine into a battery-grade product without burning a fortune in energy — is the only problem EEARTH works on. Solve the concentration economics and the rest of the supply chain follows. That is exactly what ELEMENTAL does.
Meet ElementalThe modular lithium refinery.
Lowest cost. Fastest to market. Made in America.
Five containers from brine to battery-grade. A complete refinery that ships on trucks and stands up at the wellhead. Every stage is a proven commercial unit-op, integrated by EEARTH and concentrated by our patented MPVD step.
The ELEMENTAL Process Train
+Wellhead Pre-Treatment
On raw wellhead brine, an optional front-end runs ahead of Clara — degassing, hydrocarbon and bulk-solids removal, and initial conditioning — so the same modular train delivers battery-grade lithium regardless of feed source.
Container 1
C1.1Clara
Conditioning & Filtration
Raw Smackover tail brine arrives acidic and carrying dissolved iron. Clara lifts the pH with caustic and oxidizes the iron into a filterable solid, then runs two-stage filtration — cartridge followed by ultrafiltration — to drop suspended solids below what the extraction media can tolerate.
Why It Matters: DLE media is unforgiving; iron and solids blind it and shorten its life. Clara protects the most expensive consumable in the train. Get the water right and everything downstream works.
Container 2
C2.1Capta
Direct Lithium Extraction
Technology-agnostic by design: we pilot and select the best DLE chemistry for each brine — sorbent, ion-exchange, or electrochemical. The unit selectively pulls lithium from a brine dominated by sodium, calcium, and magnesium, producing a dilute lithium-chloride eluate while achieving 95%+ lithium recovery.
Why It Matters: We don't bet the company on one DLE vendor — we integrate the best fit for the resource, de-risking both performance and cost. Selectivity here sets the ceiling for the whole train.
Container 3
C3.1Densa
Membrane Concentration
The eluate from Capta is mostly water. Densa does the first concentration lift with brackish-water reverse osmosis — moving water with pressure, not heat.
Why It Matters: Every gallon concentrated with membranes is a gallon we never have to boil. This is the first half of the cost advantage.
C3.2Molla
Softening
Molla chemically softens the stream, dropping bulk calcium and magnesium ahead of the polishing steps.
Why It Matters: Impurities carried into the refinery end up in the product and fail at the customer's gate. Removing the bulk hardness here protects everything downstream.
C3.3Pura
Ion-Exchange Polishing
Pura is two ion-exchange polishing steps that strip residual hardness and boron to trace levels using selective IX media. Boron is a notorious lithium contaminant — it comes out here, resulting in ≥99.5% battery-grade target.
Why It Matters: This is what lets us promise ≥99.5% battery-grade, consistently — not just on a good day.
Container 4
C4.1Salina
High-Pressure Concentration
Salina applies high-pressure seawater RO to push the lithium chloride higher still, recovering clean water that we reuse in the process.
Why It Matters: The second membrane lift — more concentration before any heat is applied, which is the whole point of our cost structure.
C4.2Tripla
MPVD
Our patented Multi-Phase Vacuum Desalination. It takes 7x more energy to boil water than to freeze it. Under vacuum, Tripla evaporates a small fraction and uses that energy to freeze-concentrate the rest in a closed loop — recovering fresh water as a byproduct.
Why It Matters: A physics advantage, not an operating trick — patented and permanent. This is what makes EEARTH the lowest-cost producer, delivering:
60–75% less energy vs MVR*
~40% lower total OPEX*
90%+ water recovery
Container 5
C5.1Carbona
Precipitation
We react the concentrated stream with soda ash to precipitate lithium-carbonate crystals, controlling temperature and chemistry to grow consistent, high-purity crystals. A CO₂ polishing step removes the last trace impurities.
Why It Matters: Crystal quality is product quality. Tight control here is the difference between meeting spec and reprocessing.
C5.2Pressa
Dewatering
Pressa dewaters the slurry on a filter press, separating the carbonate cake from the mother liquor — which we recycle back into the process.
Why It Matters: Recovering and recycling the mother liquor is yield and water you don't throw away.
C5.3Vera
Drying & Packaging
Vera dries the cake, mills it to spec particle size, and packages — bagged or in supersacks — under quality control.
Why It Matters: This is where consistency becomes a product a cathode maker can qualify and re-order. End-to-end oversight, in one train.
FEED FLEXIBILITYOne train. No matter the brine in front of it.
ELEMENTAL adapts to the feed, not the other way around — which is why a resource owner with idle, waste, or produced water can plug in without rebuilding anything.
From an existing operation, the stream is already de-gassed and de-oiled. The train starts directly at Clara — turning a disposal cost into battery-grade lithium with zero new wells.
Tail / Waste Brine
Straight from the formation, the brine first runs through a pre-treatment front-end — degassing, hydrocarbon and bulk-solids removal, conditioning — then enters the same modular train unchanged.
Raw Wellhead Brine
THE DIFFERENCEWe don't boil the water. We freeze it.
Conventional plants concentrate brine by boiling water off — fighting the latent heat of vaporization, the single most energy-expensive thing you can do to water. Our patented Multi-Phase Vacuum Desalination (MPVD) exploits a simple physical fact: it takes roughly seven times more energy to boil water than to freeze it. Under vacuum, TRIPLA evaporates a small fraction and uses that energy to freeze-concentrate the rest, recycling energy in a closed loop — and dropping clean fresh water out as a byproduct. This is a physics advantage, not an operating trick. It's patented, and it's permanent.

WHY EEARTH DELIVERSWe design it, build it, integrate it, and run it.
The gap in domestic lithium was never a lack of clever chemistry — it was the ability to deliver it consistently, at cost, in the field. That is the part we own end-to-end.
A team that designs, fabricates, integrates, and operates — no hand-offs, no licensed black boxes between us and the product.
Engineers + Fabricators
A sensor and controls layer dynamically tunes the train to brine-chemistry shifts, holding battery-grade spec for the lowest operational cost.
Real-Time Optimization
Commercial, field-proven processes — no science projects at the wellhead. The one breakthrough, MPVD, is the only novel step, and it's already patented.
Proven Unit-Ops
Supply chain locked, in-house lab and pilot, and capital partners prepared to fund projects. We can move when a resource is ready.
Supply Chain + Capital Ready
EEARTH PartnersOne refinery. Four ways to plug in.
Your tail or produced-water brine is a disposal cost today. We turn it into battery-grade lithium — partner, lease, or acquire — with zero new wells and no capital.
Resource
Battery-grade lithium carbonate from a producer who controls quality end-to-end — qualified, consistent, and onshore for cathode and cell makers.
Offtake
Patent-protected, lowest-cost-positioned, with a proven team and a modular path to scale — a vertically-integrated producer, not a licensing bet.
Investment Partners
We integrate best-in-class unit-ops at scale. If you make DLE media, equipment, or deliver EPC, ELEMENTAL is a fast, repeatable route to deployment.
